NOMINATION/ENTRY CRITERIA

NOMINATION TIMELINE

• Nomination/Entry Opening Date: 1st April, 2026
• Nomination/Entry Deadline: 31st August, 2026

All nominations must be submitted online through the official portal: https://www.academicexcellenceawards.com.ng/nomination-portal

GENERAL ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

1. All nominees must submit a brief summary of key milestones and achievements accomplished during the 2025/2026 academic session.
2. Self-nominations are not permitted. All nominations must be submitted by a third party, authorized representative, or institutional body.
3. Institutions must meet the following regulatory accreditation requirements:

• Universities (Federal, State, and Private): Must have full accreditation from the National Universities Commission (NUC).
• Polytechnics and Technical Institutions: Must have full accreditation from the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE).
• Colleges of Education: Must have full accreditation from the National Commission for Colleges of Education (NCCE).
• Primary and Secondary Schools: Must possess full approval from their respective Federal or State Ministries of Education.

1. Eligible institutions must have been established and in active operation for at least twelve (12) months prior to the time of nomination.
2. All nominated institutions must maintain a functional and active website with regularly updated content for at least three (3) months prior to nomination.
3. Where the nomination relates to a specific project, research, innovation, or academic initiative, such project must have been completed and fully implemented within the last twelve (12) months.

SUBMISSION GUIDELINES

1. Only complete nominations accompanied by all required supporting documentation will be considered.
2. All entries must be submitted exclusively through the official online nomination portal. Submissions sent through other channels will not be accepted.

DISQUALIFICATION CLAUSE

1. The NIGERIA Academic Excellence Awards (NAEA) reserves the right to disqualify any nomination that does not comply with the stated eligibility criteria or provides inaccurate or misleading information.

OWNERSHIP OF SUBMITTED MATERIALS

1. Upon submission, all entry forms and supporting materials become the property of the NIGERIA Academic Excellence Awards (NAEA) and will not be returned.
2. While reasonable care will be taken in handling submitted materials, NAEA shall not be held liable for any loss, damage, or misplacement of submitted documents.
